The Mayor of Kingston, Cllr Yogan Yoganathan and The Community Brain, a Tolworth-based-not-for-profit, will be hosting a special fundraising quiz on Friday 28th October.

Residents have until Monday, 24th October to purchase their tickets for the quiz night which will take place in the Council's Chamber in Kingston's Guildhall.

The team based quiz, with up to six players allowed per team, will begin at 7pm and will also include a fish and chip or vegetarian supper. A raffle will also take place on the night and a bar will be open throughout.

All proceeds from the quiz night will go to the Mayor of Kingston's Charitable Trust, which this year is supporting both the Community Brain and Creative Youth.

The Community Brain works with Kingston residents to harness their brilliance through community led initiatives and projects. Last week's Surbiton Ski Sunday which was attended by over 250 locals was brought to the borough by the not-for-profit-organisation.

Creative Youth focuses on encouraging and celebrating the creativity of young people. The renowned annual FUSE festival is one of the organisation's ways of carrying out their aim, which provides a platform for young adults to share and celebrate their individual creative talents. From its beginnings at The Rose Theatre in 2009, the festival has grown to become the largest of its kind in the UK.
