One of the UK's leading Elton John tribute acts is set to play a charity concert in Kingston this weekend.

Tom Cridland, known professionally as "Sir El Tom", will be performing at St John's Church this Saturday (21 February) in aid of the Janki Saye Foundation.

Cridland initially started playing the piano during the pandemic, in order to overcome his alcoholism – and in an ironic twist, performed his first gig in a pub.

In the years since, he has not only remained sober but met and worked with the real Elton, in addition to writing and producing for Shania Twain.

Cridland has also played Carnegie Hall in addition to other iconic venues around the world, and has performed in every single American state.

Saturday will also be a big day for the Janki Saye Foundation, with the charity, which funds assistive technologies for people with special needs and disabilities, celebrating its tenth anniversary.

Tickets to the event can be purchased here. Fans wishing to request particular songs are encouraged to send their requests on the email provided.
