On Friday 9 February, Kingston College students got on stage for Kingston's Got Talent, where organisers say they delivered "an abundance of stunning performances".

The college's Arthur Cotterell Theatre was a packed to the rafters with students, friends and family.

The event hosted by professional motivational speaker, Kheron Gilpin.

Coming from a range of different courses within the college, the performers graced the stage with their "incredible" acts which showcased "their impressive talents" according to oragnisers.

The events organisers also noted the support the performers offered one another, contributing to a "fantastic" atmosphere.

Judges were Robin Hutchinson MBE, one of the founding Trustees of Kingston's Rose Theatre and Chair of Creative Youth; College Principal, John O'Shea; Vice Principal, Charlotte Veale; and Vice Principal of Student Services, David Williamson.

Three performers were chosen to receive prizes:

1st place RISE (Delfie Simpson) and Maestro (Chris Brown)

2nd place went to Mia Styles

3rd place went to Lethal Effects (Leeloo Ellacot)

On awarding winner RISE with first prize, Judge Robin Hutchinson MBE, said: "What makes a successful act is the way they project themselves; the sense of confidence that makes the audience feel comfortable and ready to enjoy."

"This performance by RISE and Maestro had that completely," added Mr Hutchinson.

The event relied on a number of key contributers, including the college's Production Arts students managing the stage, sound and lighting.

A Kingston College spokseperson also thanked the event's judges, MC, and the college's Student Services team who organised the event.

The spokesperson added: "well done to all the students who so brilliantly performed".
