Students at Southborough High School are celebrating their A-level and BTEC results, with pupils securing places at universities including Cambridge and King's College London.

The school praised its Sixth Form students for their hard work and determination as they received their results today (Thursday, 13 August).

Headteacher Mr Smith said: "As an inclusive Sixth Form, we couldn't be prouder of the incredible focus, hard work, and determination shown by every single one of our students.

"Seeing them secure their first-choice university places, top apprenticeships, and exciting first jobs is an absolute joy!"

Among the students celebrating were Angus, Madhav, Jeffrey and Hamza, who achieved a series of A and A* grades.

Their results secured places at Cambridge University, Queen Mary University of London, King's College London's Medical School and St George's Medical School.

The school also highlighted the achievement of Rio, who returned to his studies after suffering a serious acquired brain injury several years ago.

After working to continue his education, Rio has secured a place at St Mary's University to study Sport and Exercise Science.

Southborough High School described his achievement as an "incredible" journey and praised his determination throughout his studies.

The school said it was proud of the Class of 2026 and wished students well as they move on to university, apprenticeships and employment.
