An event highlighting the variety of volunteering opportunities for Kingston residents will be held at All Saints Church on July 20.

From 6pm until 8pm, the free event will show visitors the range of ways they can make a difference. Participating can be as simple as knocking on your neighbour's door and offering them a cup of tea.

A Kingston Council spokesperson said: "There are so many ways you can make a difference, it needn't be time consuming.

"Whether you would like to give back to your community, meet new people or you just want to show you care about our wonderful borough, we can help you find what you're looking for."

Visitors can enjoy the free refreshments on offer. They will also have the opportunity to meet like-minded people, along with local charities and organisations.

"All are welcome. Join us and find out about the different ways you can get involved and make a positive impact in Kingston," the spokesperson added.

For more information, or to reserve a place, visit the Eventbrite website.
