A supermarket chain has applied to Kingston Council to extend its licensing hours for supplying alcohol until 11pm.

The new Co-Op on Clarence Street would like to supply alcohol from 7am – 11pm seven days a week.

The store's current operating hours are 7am – 7pm.

Should the application be approved, Co-Op says it shall install and maintain CCTV on the premises, implement the Challenge 25 Scheme, and keep an incident log.

Co-Op opened its new 'Grab 'n Go' store in Kingston on 2 December.

Residents have until 5 January to submit representations and can do so here.
