A smart traffic sensor has been installed in Kingston town centre as part of a new scheme to measure how cycle lanes are being used.

The sensor uses artificial intelligence to collect anonymous data on passing traffic.

It is located on Thames Street in Kingston, near TK Maxx and the new planters.

17 sites in Kingston will get the sensors as part of a project led by Kingston and Sutton Councils in partnership with Vivacity Labs.
