Police are becoming concerned over the number of campers setting up their tents in Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

They are reminding the public not to do this without written permission as camping can damage the habitat and potentially injure the deer.

A spokesperson for the Royal Parks released the following statement today (26 August).

They said: "Officers at #RichmondPark and #Bushypark have noticed an increase in camping within @theroyalparks

recently.

"Park users are reminded that tents and enclosures are not allowed without written permission, as they can damage park habitat and may injure the resident deer herds.
