A pottery cafe in Kingston could start selling alcohol.

BonBon Pottery Cafe, which opened its store on Fife Road back in April, has submitted a licensing application to Kingston Council seeking permission to sell or supply alcohol for consumption on the premises from 12pm - 9.30pm Monday through Friday and from 10am - 9.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

To keep in line with the council's licensing objectives, BonBon says "The premises will operate to a high standard, and will do so should this licence be granted in terms of the sale of alcohol".

It added: "All staff will be fully trained in their responsibilities with regard to the sale of alcohol, and will be retrained every six months, with recorded training records kept for inspection."

If the application is approved, BonBon hopes to start selling alcohol from 22 August.

BonBon is a pottery cafe where customers can paint ceramics while enjoying food and drinks on the premises. The business operates as a café and creative studio.
