Former offices overlooking the Thames in Kingston could be converted into a bar.

The offices, located in Unit 8 of Bishops Palace House on Riverside Walk, were used by Russell-Cooke Solicitors until it relocated in 2019.

The site comprised a second floor office suite with window frontage and its own terrace overlooking the banks of the River Thames.

It also had window frontage onto Horse Fair/Clarence Street. This was a deep floorplate so also had an atrium area bringing natural light into the centre of the suite.

The main entrance was from a small reception area at first floor level on the corner of the building approached from the pavement on Clarence Street.

The reception had a lift and dedicated staircase to the second floor. The suite could also be approached from the riverside via an open staircase that also led to the then night club.

It also shared an emergency staircase with the adjoining Tannery. The suite had its own male and female toilets and was partitioned into numerous separate offices, meeting rooms, board rooms and a kitchen.

The application, submitted by Kingston Riverside Limited, to convert the site into a drinking establishment, expects the full works will cost up to £2million.

Kingston Council is yet to make a decision on this application.
