KINGSTON Mosque is set to host a 'pop-up' covid-19 vaccine clinic this week.

The clinic will offer booster jabs to people aged 30 and over and Pfizer jabs to all adults.

It will be open from 10am-5pm on Friday 17 December 2021.

The new pop-up clinic joins almost 3,000 sites across the UK as the NHS speeds up its roll-out of the jabs.

Booster jabs have been shown to be more effective against the fast-spreading Omicron variant than just two doses of the covid-19 vaccine.

Amanda Pritchard, NHS chief executive, called the Omicron threat "grave."

In a news release this week, she told adults across England: "please don't hesitate with your booking and get boosted now."
