CYCLISTS are being warned about a blocked carriageway after two cars crashed in Richmond Park near Kingston Gate.

In a post on Twitter at 4.23pm the Royal Parks Police said: "Police are on scene at a collision between the driver of a Volkswagen & the driver of a Hyundai in #RichmondPark between Ham Gate and Kingston Gate.

"Although the vehicle gates are now closed, can those on bikes be aware of the obstruction in the carriageway."

It comes less than a month after a similar car crash in Richmond Park led to calls to end 'rat-running' through the nature reserve.
