Kingston: Man appears in court and becomes fourth person charged with the murder of Kai Davis

A fourth person has been charged with the murder of 22-year-old Kai Davis who was stabbed in the chest in Kingston town centre in the early hours of Saturday, 21 August 2021.

Oliver Barker-Perez, 23, of Berenger Walk, Chelsea, was arrested on Friday 11 November 2022 and appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court the next day, November 12.

He was remanded in custody and appeared at the Old Bailey on Tuesday 15 November. He will next appear at the Old Bailey on 31 January with a trial scheduled for October 2023.

On the night of the murder, 22-year-old Kai had been out in Epsom with a friend. On their way home they decided to drive via Kingston. Parking up on Fife Road they spent some time getting food and chatting to people as they left the nearby Pryzm nightclub.

Kai was fatally stabbed after being approached by Ben Myles and Joseph Barker. The pair were sentenced at Kingston Crown Court on Wednesday, 19 October this year with Myles sentenced to life imprisonment, to serve a minimum of 26 years and Barker jailed for 11 years at the same hearing.
