Kingston is London’s top-ranked area for pay growth, analysis finds

New analysis by DPHK Consulting has found that Kingston is London's top-ranked area for pay growth.
Kingston recorded London's fastest annual rise in median hourly gross pay, increasing by 17.7 per cent to £21.45 in 2025.
The borough ranked sixth across the UK, behind areas including Stratford-Upon-Avon, Knowsley and East Dunbartonshire
Across the UK, median hourly gross pay rose 5.1 per cent, from an estimated £17.09 in 2024 to £17.96 in 2025.
DPHK Consulting reviewed the latest Place of work by local authority: ASHE Table 7 dataset from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and ranked local authority areas by annual percentage change in median hourly gross pay for all employee jobs in 2025.
Kingston posted London's largest rise and ranked sixth among UK local authority areas, with median hourly gross pay increasing by 17.7 per cent. Stratford-Upon-Avon ranked first, rising 39.1 per cent, while Knowsley ranked second with growth of 26.2 per cent.
