Kingston Council has partnered with the Home Office, Metropolitan Police Service, and Words4Weapons to install a secure knife surrender bin outside of the Kingsmill Business Park, Chapel Mill Road.

The installation is part of a London-wide initiative funded by the Home Office to provide a safe and anonymous way for individuals to dispose of knives and other weapons.

Kingston is one of the safest boroughs in London and the council says it works hard to keep it that way.

Levels of knife crime in the borough remain low, but the bin supports prevention by giving people a safe and anonymous way to dispose of weapons.
