Kingston Council confirms the removal of abandoned car in Tolworth

KIngston Council has confirmed that it has removed an abandoned and wrecked VW Golf which was left on Kingston Road in Tolworth for three weeks.
A council spokesperson told Kingston Nub News: "Having carried out all necessary and due diligence checks, including ensuring that the car was no longer of interest to other authorities such as the Police, the Council arranged for [the car's] removal on Tuesday, 11 March 2025."
The car had damage at the front and nearside wing, and police tape was surrounding the scene.

The windscreen had been smashed in a couple of places.
Two wheels were removed from the right hand side of the car, and it was resting on bricks.

The car was left in the crossing area used by pedestrians and cyclists outside Lidl headquarters.
The incident caused "long traffic queues heading towards Tolworth from Ewell Road to Kingston Road," said a local resident.
