The founder of Cheeky Fest, Rupert Cheek, is currently seeking London-based performers to perform at his third festival of the same name, which will take place in Kingston later this year.

Cheeky Fest is an arts community and festival targeted at people who struggle with their mental health and people who are struggling to find suitable and fairly paid work or who have experienced long-term unemployment.

It has run twice already, with the first festival taking place in August last year and the second taking place earlier this month.

Cheeky Fest 3 will take place at Kingston's Ram Jam Records.

Founder Cheek says that he needs "two bands and a few solo/duos so we can sell more tickets and pay performers more money".

For any performers interested, Cheek asks the following questions:

  • Have you recorded and released any of your (recent) music? Is any of it on any streaming sites e.g. Spotify, Qobuz, YouTube, Bandcamp, Soundcloud?
  • How active are you on social media — Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube … etc?
  • If it's a band, how secure is your lineup? Is someone likely to leave or be replaced?
  • Where do you live in relation to Kingston?
  • Will you rush home after you've performed / the event has finished?
  • Will you play at any other gigs in the weeks before / after Cheeky Fest?
  • How will you help to promote it? Which platforms, channels, mediums, formats will you use? How far in advance? How often / frequently / regularly?
  • WHY do you want to be involved?
  • WHY do you make (music)?

If you are interested, you can contact Cheek by emailing [email protected]
