The founder of Cheeky Fest, Rupert Cheek, is currently seeking London-based performers to perform at his third festival of the same name, which will take place in Kingston later this year.

Cheeky Fest is an arts community and festival targeted at people who struggle with their mental health and people who are struggling to find suitable and fairly paid work or who have experienced long-term unemployment.

It has run twice already, with the first festival taking place in August last year and the second taking place earlier this month.

Cheeky Fest 3 will take place at Kingston's Ram Jam Records.

Founder Cheek says that he needs "two bands and a few solo/duos so we can sell more tickets and pay performers more money".

For any music promoters interested, Cheek has asked the following questions:

  • How will you find and choose which performers to book?
  • Have the performers actually recorded and released any of their music?
  • Do the performers have some of their recent music on any streaming sites e.g. Spotify, Qobuz, YouTube, Bandcamp, Soundcloud?
  • How active are they on social media — Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube … etc?
  • If it's a band, how secure is the lineup? Is someone likely to leave the band or be replaced before / after the gig? Are there any red flags?
  • Where do the performers live in relation to the venue?
  • Will they rush home after they've performed / the event has finished?
  • How will you decide the running order of the performers?
  • How flexible will you be if they ask for specific slots / times? What if you start late?
  • What are the performers going to do before and after the event?
  • What do you want them to do before, during and after the event?
  • Will they play at any other gigs before / after yours?
  • Who's promoting it? You and / or the performers?
  • HOW will you promote it?
  • Which platforms, channels, mediums, formats will you use?
  • How have the performers promoted their previous gigs?
  • How far in advance? How often / frequently / regularly?
  • Have you ever cancelled an event? If so, why?
  • Have you ever UN-booked any performers? If so, why?
  • How many tickets do you need / want to sell?
