Kingston borough found as one of the UK’s ‘most inclusive’ areas for lost learning by research backed by Lewis Hamilton

Research that was supported by Lewis Hamilton's charity Mission 44 has highlighted England's worst performing areas for lost learning at school.
The research, which was carried out by think tank Centre for Young Lives and funded by the racing driver's charity, found Kingston to be one of the 'most inclusive' areas in supporting children who are missing school.
It found Kingston to have a Combined Inclusion score of 31, a 0.58 Spring Term Suspension Rate in the 2023/2024 academic year, 0.001 exclusions made in the same term, an Overall Absence Score of 5.60 per cent in 2023/24, and an Overall Attainment Gap of 18.4.
The combined Inclusion Score is a combination of the rates of school absence, suspension, exclusion and other forms of lost learning together.
Nearby Merton was found to be the top 'most inclusive' area, and the research found that London boroughs make up the best performing council areas due to their low lost learning rates.
