Kingston's Bentall Centre has reopened following an emergency evacuation that took place this afternoon (November 8th).

Startled shoppers headed for the exit of the centre when an emergency evacuation was declared just after 12pm.

Bentall Centre's control panel remained tight-lipped when questioned by Nub News on the reason for the sudden evacuation, but stated the procedure was carried out securely and stressed all shops throughout the centre are now safely reopen.

Since opening its doors in 1992, Bentall's has become a mainstay in the heart of the Kingston community and celebrates its 30th anniversary this November.

Today, the centre contains 75 stores offering over 1,000 brands from fashion to food and drink.
