A Kingston-based community charity has won the Outstanding Leadership in Inclusivity and Diversity Award at the Kingston Borough Business Awards.
"What makes this particularly special is the journey behind it," said the charity, RBKares.
RBKares began with grassroots community support, initially sewing for frontline workers and has grown over the past six years into a volunteer-led organisation making a meaningful difference across the borough.
The charity is powered by a passionate team of volunteers and focuses on supporting vulnerable members of the community, promoting inclusion, and bringing people together through practical support and engagement.
Speaking about the award, a spokesperson for RBKares told Nub News: "As a fully volunteer‑led, Kingston based charity, we are incredibly honoured to have received the Outstanding Leadership in Inclusivity and Diversity Award at the Kingston Borough Business Awards!
"Our Wellbeing days and workshops highlight our community engagement, commitment to advancing diversity, equal opportunities, and inclusion, breaking down barriers for underrepresented groups.
"We have an amazing team of volunteers who work hard in our community to make Kingston a kinder place to live. This award celebrates their work and what a great difference they are making."
