The job market is tough right now, but at Nub News we're here to help.

This week's featured opportunity is a chance to play a vital role in Kingston's vaccination effort.

Boots on Union Street are looking for immunisation assistants to help with the delivery of covid-19 vaccines to patients at their pharmacy.

The role involves welcoming patients, explaining the process, collecting and verifying patient data and observing people post-vaccination to check for a bad reaction. Basic first aid training will be provided for the role.

Boots say they are looking for candidates who are professional, approachable and friendly, with a true desire to help others feel good.

Applicants also need to have good listening skills, be digitally savvy, and able to deal with anxious or distressed people.

Experience in a healthcare setting is desirable and the role is subject to a DBS/PVG check.

Benefits of the job include a competitive salary, staff discounts, pension contributions and 33 days of holiday (including bank holidays).

The opportunity is for a Fixed Term Contract for 37.5 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be required to work some weekends and travel to other stores may be required.
