Four men have been arrested after a series of burglaries at Chessington World of Adventures, including stealing an incredible 89 rubber ducks from the park.

In a pun-filled statement on social media today, Kingston police said they had been called to reports of trespassers at the theme park and noticed four suspicious-looking males upon arrival.

After detaining the men, police found they had stole 89 rubber ducks, worth £10 each from a kiosk in the complex.

In the statement, police said: "It certainly was quackers."

A search of the mens' vehicle revealed fluffy toys from another burglary earlier in the week.

All four were then arrested for the two burglaries and further offences, including points and blades and going equipped.

"Arresting officers consider this case well and truly quacked," the force concluded.

"We were called to Chessington World of Adventures to reports of some fowl play where people were trespassing. Upon arrival, we noticed 4 suspicious looking males that fit the bill and they attempted to make fly the coop off but were quackly detained.

"A subsequent search revealed the males had stolen 89 rubber ducks, worth £10 each, (why??) from a kiosk within the complex. It certainly was quackers.

"A further search of their vehicle, uncovered feather stolen property (fluffy toys) from another burglary earlier in the week. Not a poultry find!

"After getting our ducks in a row, literally and figuratively, all four males were arrested for the two burglaries and further offences, including points and blades and going equipped.

"Arresting officers consider this case well and truly quacked. Eggselent work!"
