Maintenance is being done to a small section of the footpath on Burney Avenue in Surbiton.

The footpath on Burney Avenue in Surbiton will be closed for six to seven weeks due to maintenance work (Credit: Tilly O'Brien)

A highway maintenance worker told Kingston Nub News that they will "reworking the whole section of the footpath, changing it from concrete slabs to ash turf."

This will six to seven weeks he said.

While vehicles are still able to drive down the road, space is limited due to the barriers taking up one side of the road.
