The Royal British Legion (RBL) Long Ditton and Hinchley Wood is hosting a Family Fun Day at their venue in Surbiton this Bank Holiday Monday, 26 August.

The event is free and will run from 11am.

There will be surprise entertainment, activities, music, a bouncy castle and trampoline, sweets and cake, Asian fusion food, burgers and hot dogs, chips, crepe, a bar, and more.

Everyone is welcome.

The mastermind behind the event is Adriatico M. Waynes Gabriel, the new partner of RBL Long Ditton and Hinchley Wood.

Waynes Gabriel first held this event last year at Long Ditton Cricket Club.

However, as the club is now only allowed to hold cricket events, he has transferred this year's event to the Surbiton venue.

He said that the event was "successful last year" and his reasons behind organising the event is to gain more exposure for the club and to "get the community together".

Speaking about this year's event, Waynes Gabriel said: "We are very much excited to hold this event for families to get together and enjoy the day with entertainment, activities and various stalls to explore and support small businesses."

Waynes Gabriel also owns his own catering company and will be providing food on the day.

RBL is a charity that supports members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, veterans and their families.

Find out more about the event on their Facebook page.
