Scores of people gathered on George Street and got into the Christmas spirit, singing carols with the Ocado Choir and Soul Choir — with pop star Sophie Ellis-Bextor making a surprise appearance.
Taking place today (Friday, 12 December) from 12pm to 2pm, the free pop-up showcased Britain's varied Christmas food traditions.
As part of Ocado's 'Season's Eatings' campaign, residents enjoyed festive bites and nibbles as they sang along to Christmas classics.

Alongside the music, Ocado's 'Season's Eatings' food truck served free samples of dishes inspired by real British Christmas habits, including tikka pigs in blankets, crab rarebit, and Dubai chocolate brownies with pistachio cream.
Arriving just after 1pm, Ellis-Bextor performed a reworked rendition of the 1857 song Jingle Bells.

Before singing, she told the crowd: "Thank you so much for joining us here. It's especially resonant to me because I grew up just down the road, so I know this area so well.
"It's actually really fitting that this is where we are celebrating today. You are all here because, hopefully like me, you love Christmas and this time of year, and you get a chance to try out all the Ocado festivities and the food."
She added: "We have gathered here for this moment with the magnificent Soul Choir and the Ocado Choir.
"We have a song that is inspired by all the amazing food that is around you, so over the next few days you might find yourself singing this in your head as you wander around eating all the nice things that are about."

Despite being there for no more than 10 minutes, Ellis-Bextor stopped to greet residents and take pictures with them on her way out.
The free pop-up forms part of Ocado's national Christmas campaign, which celebrates the fun and modern mix of festive traditions across the UK.
