Kingston's youth arts venue FUSEBOX is hosting a series of events this week to help celebrate the future possibilities of the town.

Organisers from Kingston School of Art and local charity The Community Brain describe The Festival of Futures as "a collaborative event … co-creating future scenarios for all ages".

Among the events planned between Monday 17 and Wednesday 19 June are workshops for children on how they can create the myths and stories of the future, along with badge- and flag-making sessions.

Meanwhile, adults are catered for with discussions on collective practices in creating people's vision of the Kingston of tomorrow.

Closing out the festival is a performance from DJ Future Sounds of Kingston, as well as the Future Pub Quiz, held by long-standing supporters of The Community Brain The Lamb pub in Surbiton.

Besides the Future Pub Quiz, events are being held at FUSEBOX underneath John Lewis on Buckland's Wharf in Kingston, with the full programme available on the Festival of Futures website here.
