John Partridge as has been announced as Momentum Children's Charity newest celebrity ambassador.

Singer, dancer, actor, panellist and TV Presenter, John Partridge is widely recognised for various roles and is best known for playing the role of Christian Clarke in Eastenders from 2008-2016.

Every year, more than 1900 families in the UK receive the heartbreaking news that their child has cancer and sadly, this number is increasing.

As an ambassador, Partridge is helping to spread the word and remind people of the support that Momentum Children's Charity offers to families who have a child with cancer or another life-challenging condition.

As part of his ambassador role, Partridge will work closely with Momentum Children's Charity to raise awareness of how they support families in Surrey, Sussex and London.

He will also support the charity's various campaigns, helping to reach new audiences, and be involved in some of Momentum's key fundraising events.

Speaking about his ambassadorship, Partridge said: "I'm thrilled to be joining such a worthwhile cause.

"Momentum is a charity close to my heart for lots of reasons and I know the work they do locally and nationally makes a huge difference.

"Cancer sadly affects us all; I know that more than anyone and being part of something that can help others through a tough time is deeply important to me.

"It's good to give and just remember, none of us know what's around the corner but know this, Momentum is."

John has been helping the charity for years – collecting donations at events and pantomimes, even organising an entire show for us in April, so it is fantastic he is now supporting us officially.

"John is a hugely kind, warm, and generous man and we are looking forward to working with him to spread the word about Momentum and how we support families with seriously ill children."

Momentum Children's Charity supports families across London, Surrey, and Sussex whose children are facing cancer or a life-challenging condition.

The charity partners with local hospitals to offer personally tailored support to the entire family through our family support workers, both in hospital and at home.
