Bushy park playground to close for repairs

By Ellie Brown - Local Democracy Reporter 6th Jul 2021

Bushy Park playground will close for repairs next week, the Royal Parks have announced.

In a statement on social media, the Royal Parks said: "The playground in #BushyPark will be closed for safety improvement works 5th-7th July.

"Apologies for any inconvenience and we hope to have it open for you, better than ever, on the 8th."

Bushy Park Playground is located near the Diana Fountain and the Hampton Court Gate entrance.

The playground, which has been recently refurbished, features: a large sandpit, a timber climbing frame, balance beams, a basket swing and cradle swings.

It also has a see-saw, a turtle drum for young children, a dry river feature and climbing boulders.

A pergola was recently installed near the sandpit to provide shade and seating is available around the playground.

The playground is suitable for children up to the age of 12 and has children's toilets (with baby changing facilities), wheelchair accessible toilets, a drinking water point and a

refreshment kiosk nearby.
