BREAKING: 19-year-old in hospital after brawl outside Kingston station

A 19-year-old man is in hospital after being assaulted in a brawl outside Kingston station this morning.

Police were called to reports of a fight outside the station at 4.11am on Saturday 14 August.

They found the youth with injuries to his head and he was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

Another man also sustained a head injury but did not need hospital treatment.

Police believe the victims were assaulted by "up to five" suspects.

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting CAD reference 1370/14Aug.

The main entrance to Kingston station was later sealed off as crime scene investigators collected evidence.

A police spokesperson told Kingston Nub News: "Police were called to reports of fight outside Kingston Rail Station at approximately 04:11 hours on Saturday 14 August.

"Officers attended the location, and found a man with injuries to his head. The 19-year-old was taken to a local hospital for treatment by colleagues from the London Ambulance Service. We await an update on his condition.

"A second man received a head injury but did not require hospital treatment.

"It is believed the two victims were assaulted by up to five suspects – no further details at this time.

"Enquiries continue. There have been no arrests."
