A tree in Bushy Park was spray-painted with graffiti by unknown vandals last night (15 August).

A yellow tag around the trunk was found this morning, above a pile of litter that had been left at the base of the tree.

In a Twitter post the Royal Parks police appealed for information on who may have painted the tag.

Anyone who recognises it is urged to contact [email protected].

They added: "If you come to visit #BushyPark, enjoy the surroundings, breathe in the fresh air and relax......do not take a can of spray paint and use it on a tree, then proceed to leave all of your litter at the base of said tree!"
