A bakery chain is set to open its Surbiton branch later this month.

Gail's Surbiton, which will be located in the site of the former Lloyds bank on Claremont Road, is expected to open on Thursday, 20 November.

Lloyds closed its Surbiton branch back in March alongside dozens of branches nationwide.

Yesterday (Thursday, 6 November) construction workers removed the Lloyds sign from above the building's door and a passer-by bagged it as a souvenir.

In September, Gail's applied to Kingston Council to have a seating area located outside the front of the new Surbiton bakery.
