Seeking a meticulous individual for the role of Quality Assurance Officer. The primary focus of this position is to ensure the consistent application of technical quality and food safety standards throughout their operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in guaranteeing compliance with both internal protocols and external regulations, safeguarding the integrity of products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Verifying and assessing the implementation of technical and food safety standards across the site, aligning with customer expectations and industry regulations.
  • Facilitating understanding of technical requirements among different departments and supporting the Operations team in adhering to set standards.
  • Conducting regular procedural audits to evaluate compliance, with a systematic review process to identify trends and proactively address any deviations.
  • Participating in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits alongside a diverse team, ensuring non-conformances are documented and resolved effectively.
  • Overseeing environmental monitoring programs for product microbiology and chemical safety, including investigation of out-of-specification results.
  • Investigating customer complaints using Root Cause Analysis methodologies to prevent recurrence and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining accurate technical documentation and supporting internal and external audit processes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address non-conforming products or processes promptly and effectively.
  • Contributing to the development and execution of quality-related projects as needed.

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Relevant experience in a Quality Assurance role, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Strong understanding of technical management systems and food safety standards.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at various levels of the organisation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to derive actionable insights.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a multi-site technical team.
  • Commitment to driving continuous improvement and ensuring regulatory compliance through coaching and development initiatives.
