Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Autism? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant ASD school in New Malden.

Opened in September 2023, our school boasts a modern and beautifully designed building with unique features that set it apart. Situated in New Malden, our well-lit premises provide an optimal learning environment for our students.

Role Overview:

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: New Malden

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Role Type: On-going, Full-time, 5 days per week

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Key Stage 4 students with a diagnosis of Autism
  • Assist in implementing tailored strategies to meet individual student needs
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver engaging lessons
  • Support students in their academic and social development
  • Assist with classroom management and organisation

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly with students with Autism
  • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders and effective support strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN

Requirements:

  • A valid DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • Relevant qualifications or training in Special Education or SEN experience.
