Role Overview: As a Secondary Religious Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in facilitating meaningful conversations and promoting respect for religious diversity. You will deliver engaging lessons that encourage students to explore key religious concepts, texts, and practices, fostering critical thinking and reflection. Additionally, you will create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable sharing their beliefs and perspectives, promoting dialogue and understanding.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in religious education
  • Experience teaching religious education at the secondary level
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to facilitate respectful and open-minded discussions about religious and moral issues
  • Commitment to promoting tolerance, empathy, and cultural awareness
