As a key force behind our Town House Strategy, we are proud to be appointing a new Dean of the Faculty of Business & Social Sciences & Pro Vice-Chancellor.
The Faculty of Business and Social Sciences combines the heritage and modern capabilities of the Kingston Business School and the School of Law, Social and Behavioural Sciences. Kingston Business School has been awarded the prestigious international accreditation by the AACSB, earned by only 5% of the world's business schools. Our School of Law, Social and Behavioural Sciences, offers a broad range of courses in criminology, politics and sociology, economics, law and psychology, underpinned by a vibrant research culture, informed by the Centre for Research in Communities, Identities and Difference (CResCID).
Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Stephen Spier, the Dean will provide strategic leadership for the Faculty, and will lead on the delivery of high-quality teaching, research and external partnerships. With relevant senior management experience, a strong track record of academic achievement in a relevant discipline and experience of leading change and delivering excellence, the successful candidate will also bring a genuine commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. A track record of partnership working is essential, as is an inclusive approach to leadership and an unwavering commitment to delivering an outstanding student experience, whilst ensuring the future growth of the Faculty.
As a member of Kingston's senior leadership team, the Dean plays an important role in university decision-making at the highest level.
