Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Personal Tax Accountant. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and delivering comprehensive personal tax services, ensuring compliance and providing strategic tax planning advice to our clients. Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and expatriates. Provide expert advice on personal tax matters, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and trust taxation. Prepare and review self-assessment tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation. Conduct tax planning and advisory services to optimise clients' tax positions. Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, managing any enquiries or investigations. Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and communicate these to clients and the team. Mentor and support junior staff, fostering their development and ensuring high standards of work. Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated services to clients. Requirements Qualifications and Experience: ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent with significant experience in personal tax. Demonstrable experience in managing a diverse client portfolio within an accountancy practice. Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships. Proactive and self-motivated, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
