Richmond Opera will stage Claudio Monteverdi's Orfeo, one of the earliest operas, at the Normansfield Theatre, Teddington TW11 9PS. All performances will be sung in English, taking place on:

 - Friday 25th April 2025 at 7:30 pm

 - Saturday 26th April 2025 at 7:30 pm

 - Sunday 27th April 2025 at 2:30 pm (matinee)

The Story

On their wedding day, Orfeo and Euridice revel in the joy of their love. But their happiness is shattered when Euridice is fatally bitten by a snake. Orfeo, fuelled by passion and armed only with the power of his music, resolves to journey into the Underworld to bring back his beloved.
