There is just one week to go until the fourth Kingston International Film Festival (KIFF), which will run from Friday, 6 June – Sunday, 8 June.

KIFF provides opportunities for audiences to meet with filmmakers at events such as Q&As, panels, workshops, and award ceremonies.

It showcases independent cinema, screening films audiences do not always get to see, as well as providing the first steps in launching filmmaker careers.

The festival also provides a wealth of independent films from the UK and around the world. Whether you like the thrill of a good horror film, a gentle romance, a gripping drama, a delightful family film, a rock musical, or a thought-provoking documentary, KIFF has something for everyone.

For the fourth festival, KIFF will be screening 73 films, both feature and short films, across the three days at the Odeon Cinema and the Rose Theatre.

The opening film on the Friday will be Reawakening with Jared Harris, Juliet Stevenson, and Erin Doherty (Adolescence)

This will be followed by a Q&A with the director Virginia Claire Gilbert.

Also on the Friday, there will be workshops and a panel on Routes into the Industry with NFTS Acess, ScreenSkills, Film London and Film Fixers.

On the Saturday, there will be four essential workshops - Best Kit Hire deals, Sound Design, DIT and Deliverables, and Basic Stunts - followed by Filmmakers Surgery one and a workshop to discuss problems and issue with Industry professionals.

However, Saturday's main event will be a 50th anniversary screening of the new digitally remastered version of Tommy.

Other Saturday highlights include a networking session and screenings of Red Book Diary and Gates of Hell.

On the last day of the festival (Sunday), there will be a world premiere of The Fallow Few, a screening of the award-winning documentary X-Trillion, and an awards evening and wrap up party.
