Watercolour Flowers

Join us for the latest in our series of workshops with experienced local teacher and professional artist Karen Iredale Lucas, this time focussing on the watercolour techniques involved in painting flowers.

In this informative and relaxing Saturday morning workshop, Karen will introduce you to various techniques for painting flower fields using masking fluid and layers of colour. During the class, she'll demonstrate how to translate different photographic images of flower fields into water colour images, then guide you as you work on your own paintings. At the end, everyone will have an original A3 sized watercolour art work to take home.

The class is suitable for both beginners and for those with some prior experience, wanting to improve their painting skills.

We'll provide the paper, brushes and paints, but please feel free to bring along your own set of watercolour paints and brushes if you'd prefer.
