Kingstonian have been drawn away from home against Leatherhead FC in the third round of the Velocity Cup.

Leatherhead defeated East Grinstead Town on penalties last night following a 1-1 draw in normal time to set up the third-round tie.

Kingstonian enter the Isthmian League equivalent of the League Cup at this stage by virtue of being in the Isthmian League Premier Division.

The K's will travel to Fetcham Grove on the 11th November to take on the team sat third from bottom in the Isthmian League South Central.

Kingstonian have won the Velocity Cup twice in their history, first back in the 1995/96 season and then won their second trophy as recently as 2015/16, as well as being runners up in 1981/82.

In last year's edition of the Velocity Cup, also known as the Alan Turvey Trophy, Kingstonian lost at the third-round stage when they were beaten 1-0 by Worthing at King George Field and Horsham would go on to be victorious winning 4-0 in the final against Margate.

Leatherhead are also previous winners of the competition, coming in the 2009/10 season when they beat Wealdstone on penalties in the final and they also won their semi-final on penalties.

This season has been more difficult for the Tanners having not won a game in any competition since August and they only have won league win all season.
