Kingston residents can travel into and out of the London borough of Hounslow as health chiefs have now clarified there is no 'local lockdown' or extra travel restrictions in the area.

As we reported earlier, the Government issued guidance last Friday encouraging people not to make unnecessary journeys to areas in the UK which have high cases of the Indian Covid-19 variant, including the London borough of Hounslow which has bus links to Kingston.

People are being warned not to travel into and out of the London borough of Hounslow unless for essential journeys as surge testing for the Indian Covid-19 variant continues in the region.

New Government advice states that due to increased cases of the variant in Hounslow only journeys that are necessary for work and education should be made.

Kingston University graduate makes Forbes 30 under 30 list

A Kingston Business School graduate who got into the university through clearing has made this year's Forbes Europe 30 Under 30 list.

Christian Facey, 29, attended Kingston University between 2010 and 2014 after retaking his A Levels and promised himself he'd make the most of the opportunity, graduating in 2014 with a BSc (Hons) in Business Management.
