Richmond and Bushy Parks will be locking their pedestrian gates overnight over the next 6 weeks as the November deer cull begins.

The parks near Kingston will be limiting access to walkers at certain times in order to carry out the cull of their deer herds, which the Royal Parks insist is the most humane way to control population levels.

Drivers in Kingston are being warned that two more School Streets are now in place in the borough, with motorists facing a £65 fine if they don't respect the new traffic regulations.

From today, Portland Road in Kingston town centre and Pine Gardens in Surbiton have restrictions on when cars can enter with vehicles banned from 8.30am-9.30am and 2.45pm-3.45pm on weekdays in term time.

Nub News and landmarks local to Kingston have won places in a new edition of Monopoly, which has been a part of national life and Christmas gatherings for generations.

The new Richmond upon Thames version of the game celebrates some of the area's best-known places plus a number of local charity and community groups - many which will be familiar to Kingston residents.
