The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for London and the south of England today.

The yellow rain warning is in place from 2am today to 6am tomorrow.

The warning says: "Periods of heavy rain will bring the possibility of some disruption, particularly to transport.

It adds that people should expect:

  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible
  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer

This comes as a tidal thames flood warning has also been issued for the area.
