Saturday 6 January
Repair Cafe, Kingston Library, 10:30am-1pm
Visitors can bring all sorts of broken items to fix on the spot with the help of volunteer repairers and refreshments while you wait, watch and learn. Electricals and electronics are usually the busiest tables, with textiles just behind, but they can tackle all kinds of other repairs, including small items of furniture, toys... Drawing one a day- Exhibition, the CornerHouse Surbiton, 7pm-9pm
Simone Kay, a stained-glass artist living and working in Kingston, decided eight years ago to do one drawing a day using pen and watercolour paint in pocket sized notebooks. Now on book number 96, These sketches from life have become a daily ritual which has culminated into well over 2800 works of art. The images for the exhibition have been reproduced on watercolour paper using state of the art technology known as giclee prints.
The Food Bank Ball, The Fighting Cocks, 7:30pm
Raising donations for https://www.trusselltrust.org/. Entry is free with a food bank donation, some suggested items to bring are:
- Tinned Meat
- Pasta Sauce
- Tinned Fruit
- Tinned Vegetables
- Tinned Custard / Rice Pudding
- Sanitary Towels
- All Purpose Cleaner
- Washing Machine Tablets
Bands include Soaked (Essex three-piece rock and roll group, for fans of (FFO) Oasis, The Beatles, The Jam); Bleeding Daphne (Southwest London alt rock trio, sounds like Beck, Pavement, Foo Fighters) and Bucktail (Southwest London alt pop four piece, FFO Dinosaur Jr, Braid, Deerhoof).

Milton Jones at Outside the Box Comedy Club, The Royal Oak, New Malden, 5:40pm
Comedian Milton Jones headlines the iconic comedy circuit of Outside the Box. The perfect place for stand-up comedians to test new material and practise their routines. As seen on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and more! Plus, a full bill of other stand-up artists.
Sunday Night Quiz, The Albion, 7:30pm
Get your thinking caps on and sharpen your competitive streak with a pub quiz! 1st prize is a £50 tab voucher with rollover jackpot questions. Food served until 10pm.
