ingston Regatta — first contested on the Thames in 1857 — is one of the world's oldest rowing regattas and a fixture of the local summer calendar. Across Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July 2026, around 320 races run each day from 8.30am to 6.30pm, drawing crews, families and spectators to Kingston Riverside West on the edge of Hampton Court Palace across the weekend.
This year's regatta will see over 1,500 athletes from more than 50 clubs and schools from across South West London and the surrounding areas, race for honours over 1,000m on Saturday and 500m on Sunday.
The regatta enclosure is accessed from Barge Walk (just off Kingston Bridge as you head towards Hampton Wick) and is free to enter. As well as great racing live streamed so you can follow every event we'll have a range of high quality food vendors and a bar.

The Xcerts
Friday 10 July, The Fighting Cocks, 7pm Doors Open.

To celebrate the release of the new album, The Xcerts visits Kingston to play at The Fighting Cocks.
British trio The Xcerts return in Summer 2026 with their sixth album, i think i want to go home now. Recorded at Beehive Studios, the record's direction crystallized with the track "do it to myself," marking a return to the band writing together in one room.
The album emerged from an "exceedingly hellish" period involving family loss and broken relationships, mirroring the trauma behind their 2009 debut. While the title began as a childhood joke about sleepovers, it evolved into a poignant exploration of "home" as both a refuge and a heavy heart, delivered with a defiant, invigorated energy.
