Saturday 11 July
Kingston Regatta — first contested on the Thames in 1857 — is one of the world's oldest rowing regattas and a fixture of the local summer calendar. Across Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July 2026, around 320 races run each day from 8.30am to 6.30pm, drawing crews, families and spectators to Kingston Riverside West on the edge of Hampton Court Palace across the weekend.
This year's regatta will see over 1,500 athletes from more than 50 clubs and schools from across South West London and the surrounding areas, race for honours over 1,000m on Saturday and 500m on Sunday.
The regatta enclosure is accessed from Barge Walk (just off Kingston Bridge as you head towards Hampton Wick) and is free to enter. As well as great racing live streamed so you can follow every event we'll have a range of high quality food vendors and a bar.
Kingston Regatta is proud to continue its long association with Historic Royal Palaces and welcomes our newest community partner, the Rose Theatre as they prepare for the world premier of Al Smith's comic adaptation of Three Men in a Boat from September 18 to October 10.
