Saturday 2 September
Still not seen Barbie or Oppenheimer yet? Celebrating National Cinema Day, Odeon is offering movie screening from just £3 all day.
Southwest London Songwriters Group, Grey Horse, 3pm-5pm
Come down and meet other songwriters from the area. Perform songs to each other, give feedback, and share ideas about the songwriting process, and making music in general. 3pm, doors 2.30pm. Contact: [email protected]
Beatles and Stones: The Ultimate Show, The Arthur Cotterell Theatre, 6:30pm-9:30pm
Feeling nostalgic as September comes around again? Reminisce to the good old days as you listen to iconic tributes to the Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Take a musical journey through the decades with the talented The Beatles With An A and Not The Rolling Stones. Grab your friends and family and boogie to your favourite hits and classics. Please note there is a short interval of 15 minutes between band changeovers.
Sunday 3 September
Kingston Carnival, Market Place, 12pm-7pm
Celebrating and promoting diverse communities in the borough, Kingston Carnival is back for its 21st birthday. This year's theme is "Wellbeing and Community Celebration" with Mas bands, live music, parades and authentic street food from all over the world.
Get sucked into the festivities with colourful displays of costume, mesmerizing dancing and creative activities. Perfect for all ages!
Gentleman's Dub Club sound system set, Market Place, 3pm-7pm
Banquet Records is sorting out the set list before the end of the Carnival. Last to play ahead of the 7:00pm curfew is a sound system set from Gentleman's Dub Club, with co-headliners Dub Pistols Vs Freestylers playing just before hand. We have secret set from a great international touring act at around 4:00pm and The New Slang DJs, will play in between.
Ed Byrne: Tragedy plus time, Rose Theatre, 7:30pm-9:30pm
One of the UK's favourite TV household names, Ed Byrne, comes to the Rose Theatre in Kingston upon Thames with a brand-new show as he heads on the road in autumn. Book your tickets here.
