Wendy Winfield: Life Lived Retrospective

An exhibition celebrating the life of artist Wendy Winfield and her remarkable series of drawings depicting the same life model over a 25-year period.

The show manages to capture the life of the model through her changing body over those years. Wendy chose 60 drawings in chronological order - and could remember the circumstance of each and every one and they are embodied in her drawings.

The model dictated the mood and pose of the drawings, depending on her relationship or marriage status, pregnancy and birth of the baby and life's highs or lows - to which Wendy responded.

In tribute to Wendy the back room displays a collection of some of her other paintings and a short video.

Open: 10 March - 16 March, 12 Noon to 6 PM Daily

The Luka State at Banquet Records

To celebrate the release of the new album titled 'More Than This', The Luka State visit Kingston to play an in-store set.

Six tracks deep, in the very heart of the album sits the fiery title track 'More Than This'. Imagine early Arctic Monkeys multiplied by the breakneck urgency of Biffy Clyro and the sharp tongued worldview of Paul Weller. It's a damning portrait of a hungry family in a broken Britain, as Ellis sings a song 'For the broken hearted, from a broken home, let down on the breadline, and this ain't the first time'.

"That one's about me delivering food for a food bank to a single mother of two who lost her job, felt let down by the system and just wanted more," says Ellis. "She was late on the rent, had no money coming in, no food and just felt forgotten about. I just wanted to say, 'Don't judge people without knowing them, always treat people with compassion'. Love always wins."

Priority will be given to anyone who orders a copy of More Than This from Banquet Records.
