Friday, July 15 - Sunday, July 17

Roundabout at the Rose Theatre

Arriving for its first year in Kingston, the big yellow Roundabout tent will be situated in Memorial Gardens, right in the heart of the town, featuring a rep of brand-new plays as well as a jam-packed programme of community events and much more!

Although a series of productions will be hosted until 24th July, the Roundabout's debut weekend in Kingston is the perfect time to check out the innovative theatre experience.

The Ultimate Pickle, Half-Empty Glasses and A Sudden Violent Burst of Rain are some of the fantastic productions that will be on show.

Saturday, July 16

Hollyfest 2022 at Surbiton's Hollyfield School

Hollyfield, the Surbiton based co-educational academy school is inviting members of the community to their renowned 'Hollyfest' which returns to the sunshine this Saturday.

An array of impressive stalls, attractions and live performance will be present throughout the day including live music from students on two stages, theatrical performances, stand-up comedy, an eco-fashion swap shop, face painting, hair braiding, henna tattoos, giant inflatables and a host of international food stalls.

Spaces are available to sign up for the chess tournament and Zumba classes which will be running throughout the day.

The Hollyfield School's biennial music and arts festival will run from 4pm to 10pm, buy your tickets from the Hollyfest website now. 

Georgia Van Etten at Ex Cellar Live Sessions

Recently signed to Canadian record label Birthday Cake, founded by The Bros. Landreth, Georgia continues to solidify her position on the international stage. Her debut album 'Deep Black Water' gained a feature in NME, music video on MTV, heavy rotation on SiriusXM North Americana (US), BBC Radio 2 play and a feature session on BBC Radio 4's Loose Ends.

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, van Etten packed one tiny suitcase six years ago and headed for the U.K. Impressively, she has played the likes of Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Porretta Soul Festival (Italy), Falls Festival (Australia), Ealing Blues Festival (UK) and headlined London Omeara.

Sunday, July 17

Kingston Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge

Kingston Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge on the River Thames is back after 2 years, with the race starting at Canbury Gardens, Kingston. 

Come and see the spectacle of Dragon Boats racing from 9:30 am until approximately 4 pm on Sunday 17 July. There are market stalls, a food court, and a children's funfair so plenty to do and see. Bring the family and enjoy the day!
