Every Thursday we round up all the eye-catching events occurring in your area over the weekend.

Ham Open Gardens – Sunday, 19 May

Release your inner nosey neighbour at this year's Ham Open Gardens.

With over 20 gardens in the area to admire, you'll be kept busy all Sunday and be supporting local charities with your ticket purchase:

  • Home-Start UK – a local community network supporting young families
  • Ham and Petersham SOS – a neighbourhood care group for older and vulnerable local residents
  • Ham and Petersham Association and Amenities Group – organisers of local events like this

The event's organisers describe the day as "an irresistible chance to explore some of Ham's most exquisite private gardens".

Early-bird tickets are £10, or £15 on the day either online or on Ham Common. Accompanied children under 16 go free.

BEER FEST @ The Park Brewery – Thursday, 16 to Saturday, 18 May

Kingston's own beermakers, The Park Brewery, are hosting BEER FEST this weekend.

A number of guest beers will join Park Brewery's own award-winning offerings along with street food and "an eclectic playlist" according to the brewery.

The latest update from the brewery is tickets for today, Thursday 16 May, and Saturday's two sessions are still available, but book quickly to avoid disappointment!

The festival runs from 5pm to 10pm on Thursday, with Saturday's two sessions running from 12pm to 4pm and 4:30pm to 10pm. Tickets are £5, and come with a free brewery-branded glass.

Mini Moments Festival @ The Community Brain – Saturday, 18 May

Local charity The Community Brain invites families across the borough to join this celebration of Surbiton's automotive past.

From John Cooper's drawing board in his Surbiton workshop to the triumph of the Mini Cooper at the Monte Carlo Rally of '64, the event promises to shine a light on the area's influence on Britain's most iconic car.

Tour of John Cooper's garage are available to book, with four time slots throughout the day.

Mini Day is free, and runs from 11am to 5pm along Hollyfield Road in Surbiton.
